No Safety Net, Made My Own is a free support project, not a registered charity. Everything on this site is general information and self help only. It is not medical, psychological or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care or emergency services. If you are in crisis or in danger, please contact your local emergency services.
The short version
No Safety Net, Made My Own is a simple, free website offering supportive information for anyone who needs it. We don't ask you to create an account, we don't run advertising, and we don't sell or share your data. We collect as little information as possible.
Information we collect
You can read everything on this site without giving us any personal information. We don't operate sign up forms, newsletters or contact forms that store your details.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record basic technical information, such as your browser type, device and approximate region, in standard server logs. This is used only to keep the site running, secure and reliable.
Third party content
Some pages include content loaded from other companies, which may receive information (such as your IP address) when that content loads:
- YouTube videos. Some pages embed videos from YouTube. When a video loads, Google may set cookies and receive data in line with their own privacy policy.
- Google Fonts. We use Google Fonts to display our typefaces, which are loaded from Google's servers.
We also link out to trusted support organisations. Once you follow a link, that organisation's own privacy policy applies.
Cookies
No Safety Net doesn't set its own tracking cookies. Some embedded content (such as YouTube) may set cookies in your browser. You can read more on our Cookie Policy page.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and you can browse most of the site normally with cookies disabled. Because we don't hold accounts or personal records, there's nothing stored with us for you to access or delete.
Children and young people
No Safety Net is intended to be safe and supportive for teenagers and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone. If you're worried about your privacy or safety online, a trusted adult or one of the organisations listed on our Get Support page can help.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a new "last updated" date.
