PODCAST LIVE OCTOBER 2026
No Safety Net, Made My Own

Real stories. Honest conversations. Support when you need it.

No Safety Net, Made My Own is a video podcast and free support space for teenagers and women, for the parts of life nobody really prepares you for, relationships, trauma, ADHD, parenting, heartbreak, healing, starting again and everything in between.

The new video podcast

No script. No filter.

One guest. One honest interview. The parts most people leave out, said out loud. Real people who came through something brutal, telling you exactly how they did it. Hosted by Kirsty Turner, on YouTube and Spotify. You won’t just hear their story, you’ll leave with something you can use on your own worst week.

The meaning behind the name

No Safety Net. I made my own.

The podcast’s full name is No Safety Net, Made My Own. You will also see it shortened to just “No Safety Net” — that is the handle used on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, because the full name will not fit there.

“No Safety Net” comes from the chapters of my life when I felt as though there was nothing underneath me if I fell. I had to keep moving through fear, trauma, mistakes and uncertainty without always having the support I needed.

“I made my own” is the part that matters most. It means turning everything I survived into something strong, honest and useful: a life and business I built from nothing, the No Safety Net, Made My Own video podcast where real conversations can happen, and a place where anyone can find the support I once needed myself.

🎙️ No Safety Net, Made My Own is a conversation-led video podcast on YouTube

Hosted by me, Kirsty Turner, each episode brings honest guest conversations about trauma, healing, rebuilding and what it really takes to create your own way forward.

It does not mean that we should do everything alone. It means that when the safety net is missing, we can begin creating one together.

The heart behind No Safety Net, Made My Own

Built by a woman who knows what it is to start from nothing

No Safety Net grew from the same purpose behind Verella, the swimwear and fashion label Kirsty founded: that women should feel seen, supported and powerful in who they are.

No Safety Net exists because real support should not be locked behind a price tag, a waiting list, or the feeling that you have to be in crisis before someone listens.

Whatever brought you here, you have already done the hardest part: you showed up.

You don’t have to figure out the next bit alone.

"At fourteen, I was struggling with abuse at the hands of a boy I was in a relationship with. I didn't know how to cope with what was happening or what it was doing to me. Later, at sixteen, my behaviour became chaotic, I ran away from home and chose to live in a hostel, and I often say I was a nightmare child. But underneath that behaviour I was a young person trying to survive something I did not know how to process. I built Verella from nothing, and I built this space for anyone who needs to hear that nothing, not where you started, not what's happened to you, decides how your story ends."
