PODCAST LIVE OCTOBER 2026
For Women

Free support and guides for women, whatever you're carrying

Domestic violence, bullying at work or in your friend group, relationships that drain you, the exhausting parts of ADHD, feeling lonely even in a room full of people. This page is for all of it, because real life rarely fits into one neat category.

You are not what was done to you, and you are not failing for finding it hard

Maybe you've left a relationship that hurt you. Maybe you're still in one and you're not sure what to call it yet. Maybe nobody hit you but somebody made you feel small for years, at home, at work, or in a friendship that should have been safe. Maybe your brain works differently and the world wasn't built with you in mind, and you're tired of pretending that isn't exhausting.

Whatever brought you here, you are not too sensitive, not too much, and not making it up. Whatever you're feeling is real, even if you can't completely explain where it's coming from yet, and it deserves to be taken seriously, starting with how you treat yourself.

You are allowed to rebuild slowly. You are allowed to take up space, trust people again, rest, and want good things for your life. None of what happened to you, and none of what makes your brain work differently, gets to write the rest of your story. You're the one holding the pen now.

Domestic Violence

Whether you've left or you're still figuring out your next step, your safety and your healing both matter.

Bullying, at Work or School

Being undermined, excluded, or targeted by someone with more power than you doesn't get easier just because you're an adult.

Difficult Relationships

Romantic relationships that leave you anxious, confused, or smaller than you used to be deserve real attention, not dismissal.

Friendship Struggles

Losing a friendship, being excluded, or feeling like the one always giving more can hurt as much as any other kind of heartbreak.

Managing ADHD

The overwhelm, the masking, the guilt over things that feel harder for you than they look for everyone else. You're not lazy or broken.

Addiction & Recovery

Whether it's your own drinking or using, or someone you love, there is free, confidential help in the UK and no need to hit rock bottom first.

Loneliness

You can be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone. That feeling is common, valid, and changeable.

Making friends as an adult

There are real places to find your people

If you feel lonely, it does not mean you are behind, difficult, or the only one. So many women are in the same situation at different ages: moving city, leaving a relationship, becoming a mum, changing jobs, healing, or simply realising their old friendships no longer fit.

Friend making spaces can be genuinely life changing. You might meet someone for one coffee, or you might find a long term friend who changes the shape of your whole week. Either outcome matters, because it proves you are allowed to keep reaching for connection.

Bumble BFFUse the friend mode on Bumble to meet women nearby who are also actively looking for friendship, walks, coffee, events, or someone to message.
PeanutA friendship app often used by women and mums, especially useful if motherhood, fertility, pregnancy, or big life changes are part of your world.
Meetup and EventbriteSearch for women only walks, book clubs, creative workshops, wellness events, language exchanges, supper clubs, or beginner hobby groups.
Facebook groupsGroups like London Lonely Girls Network can be brilliant. You can also search Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or other social media for your town or city plus phrases like "women's friendship group", "girls walking group", "new friends", or "lonely girls".

When you join, start small: comment on one post, go to one low pressure meet up, or message one person who sounds like your kind of person. Lots of women there are nervous too. That is exactly why these groups work.

A quick, honest note: I'm currently working towards my psychology degree and have spent years studying human behaviour, trauma and healing, but I'm not yet a therapist, counsellor or psychologist and I'm not claiming to be one. This page was created as a means of support, built from years of study, lived experience and genuine care, not as a replacement for professional or clinical help.
